I work across the full spectrum of color photography, capturing vibrancy, atmosphere, and the richness of everyday life. Yet my favorite medium is black and white, where details sharpen, and dramatic contrasts emerge.

Without color, light and shadow take center stage, revealing textures, emotions, and perspectives that might otherwise be overlooked. Each photograph is about capturing a moment in time as it stays still, a pause that preserves both presence and perception, inviting viewers to look closer and feel the story within the frame.

Side Self-Portrait

This digital project explores the expressive power of black and white photography, using tonal contrast to highlight form and mood. Captured as a side profile, the self‑portrait emphasizes silhouette and shadow, stripping away color to focus on structure, emotion, and presence.

The piece reflects how light and absence of color can shape identity, turning a simple profile into a study of character and atmosphere

Detailed Depth

This black‑and‑white photo series focuses on the expressive power of hands, captured from varied angles and depths. By stripping away color, the project emphasizes shadow, form, and gesture, revealing how subtle shifts in perspective transform perception.

Each image becomes a study in contrast and texture, showing hands not just as physical tools but as symbols of connection, identity, and movement.

Tarantual Den Depth

This black‑and‑white close‑up captures the intricate detail of a tarantula within its cave, framed by the textures of its webbed den. Shot almost at a macro scale, the series emphasizes shadow, depth, and fine detail, transforming the natural environment into a study of contrast and perception.

By stripping away color, the focus shifts to the interplay of light and texture, revealing the tarantula’s world as both delicate and formidable.

Golden Spiral Challenge

This project explores the Golden Spiral as it appears in real‑life scenarios, using photography and observation to uncover natural harmony in everyday forms. Inspired by my son, who became both model and muse, the work captures how human presence can align with mathematical beauty.

By framing portraits and environments through the spiral’s curve, the project highlights balance, proportion, and the quiet elegance of design found in nature and life itself.
